Preliminary condensed consolidated financial results for the year ended 31 March 2026
The preliminary condensed consolidated financial results for the year ended 31 March 2026 are available for inspection at
the registered office of the Issuer, as well as on the Investec's website at www.investec.com.
Noteholders are advised that the statutory audited annual financial statements are expected to be published on 30 June
2026. A further announcement will be published on SENS once available.
Investec advises of the following restatements:
1. Offsetting of derivatives
The Group's application of the offsetting requirements of IAS 32 Financial Instruments: Presentation was incorrectly
implemented on certain derivative positions at 31 March 2025 and 31 March 2024. Restating the balance sheet at this date
to offset these instruments resulted in a decrease in 'derivative financial instruments' assets and 'derivative financial
instruments' liabilities. This change has no impact on the income statement or statement of changes in equity.
2. Offsetting of loans to and from Group companies
The Group's application of the offsetting requirements of IAS 32 – Financial Instruments: Presentation was incorrectly
implemented on certain balances at 31 March 2025 and 31 March 2024, whereby these balances were presented net where
there was no right to do so. The balance sheet at these dates have been restated to gross up these instruments. This
change has no impact on the income statement or statement of changes in equity.
Due to the restatements above, there was a net decrease in operating assets and operating liabilities within the cash flow
statement with a net nil impact on operating cash flows.
3. Classification of gains
Gains on certain financial instruments were inappropriately classified as fee and commission income and therefore did not
reflect the substance of the underlying transactions. The comparative information has been restated accordingly.
This change had no impact on the cash flow statement.
The impact of the above restatements are disclosed in the financial results on Investec's website at www.investec.com.
