            MTN Ghana Receives Notice of Spectrum Award in the 700 MHz and 3 GHz Bands
            MTN Group Limited’s shareholders and noteholders are referred to the announcement released by
            Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana or the Company) on 2 October 2026 regarding receipt of a notice from
            Ghana’s National Communications Authority for the award of spectrum in the 700 MHzand 3 GHz mid-
            band frequencies for the provision of 5G and mobile broadband services.

             The spectrum licences will have a duration of 15 years.

            Details of the spectrum included in the notice of award are set out below:

            MTN Ghana is currently finalising the required formalities and payment obligations associated with
            the licence acquisition. The licence payments have been incorporated into the MTN Ghana’s equity
            free cash flow outlook.

            Following the issuance of the spectrum licences, the MTN Ghana will deploy the 5G spectrum in
            addition to its existing spectrum stock, to strengthen network capacity, enhance service quality, and
            improve customer experience across Ghana. It will be critical in assisting MTN Ghana to drive growth
            in 5G mobility as well as in fulfilling our aspirations to connect the home in Ghana.

            MTN Group and MTN Ghana will keep the market informed of material developments as MTN Ghana
            advances the rollout of the newly awarded spectrum and high-speed 5G services aimed at enhancing
            customer experience across the country. The MTN Group and MTN Ghana appreciate the continued

            investment.
