CHANGES TO DIRECTOR’S DECLARATION INTEGRITY INFORMATION

In accordance with paragraph 6.75 of the JSE Listings Requirements, Shoprite Holdings advises that Mr Sipho
Nkosinathi Maseko (“Director” or “Sipho”), an independent non-executive director of the Company, has
notified the Company of a change to the integrity information contained in his director’s declaration in terms of
the JSE Listings Requirements (“Director’s Declaration”) previously submitted to the JSE.

Sipho is a director of five South African dormant and non-trading investment companies, which were charged
for failing to submit tax returns to SARS under the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977. By agreement with the
State Advocate, the companies paid admission of guilt fines totalling R85,000. No trial took place, no court
made any finding on the facts, and Sipho himself was not convicted of any offence.

An amended Director’s Declaration, reflecting the above change, has been submitted to the JSE.
