For the interim period ended 30 September 2023, shareholders are advised that: • Basic earnings per share is expected to be 326.8 cents per share (September 2022: basic loss 192.1 cents per share); and • Headline earnings per share is expected to be 321.2 cents per share (September 2022: headline loss 193.7 cents per share). The increase in earnings is mainly attributable to an improvement in prices in the Group's sugar cane and banana operations, as well as a reduction in fertiliser and other agricultural input costs, compared to the previous corresponding period.
