NOTICE OF BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN IMPLATS SECURITIES


In accordance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act (No 71 of 2008), as amended ("Companies
Act") and paragraph 3.83(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are advised
that Implats has received formal notification in terms of section 122(1) of the Companies Act that Lingotto
Investment Management LLP (formerly, Exor Capital LLP) on behalf of its clients, has acquired a
beneficial interest in the securities of the Company, such that the total interest in the ordinary shares of
the Company held by Lingotto Investment Management LLP, on behalf of its clients, now amounts to
5.02%.

The board of Implats ("Board") accepts responsibility for the information contained in this announcement
and confirms that, to the best of their knowledge and belief, such information is true and this
announcement does not omit anything likely to affect the importance of such information. The Board has
relied on the accuracy of the information contained in the notification received from Lingotto Investment
Management LLP in making this statement.

As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, Implats has filed the required notices
with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
